Local Farms Come to You!

Help support our local growers and get a taste of hometown freshness at a market.  Here's a list of good selections for buying safe produce and products produced locally.  Not all markets are organic, but these markets host vendors that have licenses to operate, unlike some roadside stands that COULD be here-today-gone-tomorrow and MIGHT sell dubious produce.  Our old standby the County Road 210 market has been tabled but you can check their website to see if they'll hold an event in the future.  Click the Read More link below for the local venues that sell in northwest St. Johns County.

These are the current local venues that sell in northwest St. Johns County:
  • Farm-to-Family Mobile from Pie-in-the-Sky comes to various locations like San Juan del Rio church to southeast St. Johns county. The mobile market is part of Florida's Farm to Family initiative to provide local fresh produce to areas that have limited access to it. See the market delivery schedule. Show up and fill up. No pre-orders necessary! SNAP accepted.
  • Julington Creek Plantation Farmer's Market - Saturdays at 950 Davis Pond Blvd.
  • Jax Organic - order online for Monday delivery at Durbin Creek Elementary School on Race Track Rd.
  • Organic produce at Bayside Village Shopping Center, 1820 State Rd. 13, Switzerland (sorry we don't know the name just yet.)
Of course, the biggies are the Jacksonville Farmer's Market, that operates 365 days a year, and various markets in St. Augustine, featured in the 2013 St. Augustine Record (be prepared to do a short survey in order to read the article) and on Google searches.

Bon Appetite!
